I-41, USH 151 to SCL
Transportation | Construction Services
CORRE provided construction oversight and inspection services for this 7-mile project on I-41. The rural project involved grading for safety slopes, HMA milling, PWL pavement, beam guard replacement, cable guard replacement, and pavement marking.
The majority of the work was performed under traffic with short-term lane closures with detours used for ramp work closures. Due to the high traffic volumes, seamless coordination and proper documentation between project staff and the contractor were critical.
This complex project involved foresight and daily problem solving to keep the work progressing efficiently, as well as performing work at night.
