CORRE is completing design work for this approximately 3-mile-long roadway reconstruction and reconditioning project that consists of two segments. The southern segment involves pulverizing and overlaying the roadway and the northern segment involves full roadway realignment through the Vilas County forest.
In addition to roadway alignment and profile improvements, design includes reconstruction of several town road intersections to improve sight distance. Coordination with Vilas County, the Town of Conover and the Vilas County Forestry department is crucial.
Design also includes culvert replacements and stream realignment. Extensive wetland delineation was required throughout the project limits. CORRE completed the Section 106 documentation, agency coordination, and wetland delineation for the project.
