Transportation | Construction Oversight
CORRE provided construction oversight and inspection services for the full reconstruction and modernization of 1.2 miles of CTH EE/Weeden Creek Road. The project converted the existing two-lane rural roadway with poor drainage and ditching into a safer urban-style roadway that better accommodates traffic, pedestrians, and drainage.

The project team made sure all construction activities and controlling items stayed on track with the schedule and budget, and also ensured the project met the plans and specifications. The team maintained constant communication and a positive proactive approach to handle any issues that arose during construction. The team was also responsible for ensuring all materials incorporated into the project met specifications and Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements.
Project specifics included full-depth roadway reconstruction, urbanization with curb and gutter, the addition of sidewalk and bicycle facilities, the addition of storm sewer and various drainage improvements, marsh excavation, and the construction of a detention pond with clay liner. The roadway was paved with HMA pavement and lighting facilities were installed throughout the street to improve nighttime visibility and safety.
The result is a safer and more functional roadway that better serves the residents and future development in Sheboygan County.
