Specialty Services | Environmental

CORRE was contracted for engineering, environmental, and project management services for SunVest Solar, LLC, in association with the proposed community solar project in Cottage Grove, Dane County, WI (WisDOT SW Region). The Dane County Solar project is a private-public partnership between SunVest Solar, Dane County, and Alliant Energy; and also includes a generator tie line to be constructed by Alliant Energy through a WisDOT road construction project (CTH AB/USH12). The project, which sits on 90 acres and contains over 33,000 solar panels producing over 36 million kilowatt-hours of renewable electricity annually, became operational in April 2023. With the completion of the project, Dane County has become the first county in Wisconsin and the fourth county in the US to use 100% renewable electricity to power all county facilities.

The project was successfully permitted and constructed following the completion of the required components, as defined by the US Department of Agriculture – Rural Development and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Office of Energy nexus. In addition, CORRE also provided site design services and structural engineering for the foundational requirements of the various electrical systems.
