STH 67 Reconstruction

STH 67 Reconstruction
Transportation | Construction Services

This 11.5-mile project consisted of two IDs and spanned two counties, encompassing rural and urban areas. Roadway work involved grading for safety slopes, concrete pavement, and HMA PWL pavement. Structures work included a new box culvert and bridge rehab and overlay.

These complex projects involved daily problem solving and foresight to keep work progressing. Environmental concerns included extensive wetland areas that forced work to be completed within minimal footprints. Coordination and public involvement included numerous residents, businesses, and the Road America race facility. Staff used iPads with OnStation, GPS, spreadsheet macros, and chat messaging to work efficiently.
