City of Wausau Downtown Mall Redevelopment

CORRE provided construction oversight and inspection services for the reconstruction of three streets in downtown Wausau. Staff worked alongside Stevens Construction and their adjacent apartment building construction project to tie the two projects together, ensuring smooth coordination and limiting conflicts. Staff also worked closely with the city and public involvement efforts to keep the community informed of the project’s progression. 

CORRE successfully coordinated with WPS throughout the project to move a gas main to minimize conflicts and prevent delays on the project. Staff also coordinated with multiple other utility companies to perform work within the construction site for new facilities to be added within the project limits.

Work included urban reconstruction with sanitary and storm sewer, water main repairs, earthwork, grading, concrete pavement, colored concrete, concrete sidewalk, asphaltic surface, planter beds, electrical, lighting, irrigation, and landscaping.
