CORRE is providing lead construction oversight and inspection services to WisDOT for this high-complexity multi-stage project on IH 94. This corridor is a gateway into Wisconsin from the Minnesota border and carries nearly 90,000 vehicles per day. The project involves rehabilitating the existing concrete pavement and reconstructing the existing shoulders. Additional lanes will also be constructed to provide additional capacity from STH 35 N to USH 12, as well on STH 35 from IH 94 to Hanley Road. Additional improvements include lanes added to the IH 94 on/off-ramps, auxiliary lanes, and additional emergency crossovers.
This six-mile project involves multiple operations happening simultaneously with significant nighttime work, requiring diligent daily coordination with contractors, State Patrol, Wisconsin Traffic Control Center, Minnesota Traffic Control Center, and WisDOT.
