We are seeking a highly motivated, qualified, Network and Server System Administrator to join our IT team in a growing multi-office firm.

Description
  • Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
  • Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
  • Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
  • Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
  • Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximise network efficiency and security
  • Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Investigating faults in the network
  • Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
  • Evaluate and modify system’s performance
  • Troubleshoot problems reported by users and analyze and isolate issues
  • Configuring, managing, and troubleshooting multiple physical and virtual servers in various offices throughout the state of Wisconsin
  • Configuring, managing, and troubleshooting failover iSCSI clusters in Hyper-V
  • Managing off-site data backups
Qualifications
  • Two-year associate degree completed minimum, with work experience, in any of the following or similar:
    • Systems Administration Specialist
    • Network Security Specialist
    • Network Specialist
    • Information Systems Management
  • Experience with Server 2012 R2
  • Experience with failover iSCSI cluster server configurations in Hyper-V
  • Experience in disaster recovery
  • Familiarity with small to mid-size business environments
  • An analytical mind
  • An ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work alone
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Commercial and business awareness
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to provide own means of reliable transportation.
